If you’re an iPhone 6 or 6S user in Canada and you’ve been itching to use Apple Pay in Canada, tomorrow is the day it will go live. According to iPhoneincanada.ca, AMEX has confirmed this info:
According to American Express, the service is set to launch this Tuesday, November 17, 2015. Customer service representatives we spoke with confirmed the date over the phone numerous times, and is in line with what you’ve told us as well.
The catch is that this is only using AMEX cards which don’t exactly have a high rate of usage in Canada, largely because it isn’t accepted everywhere in Canada. But maybe this will spur the major Canadian banks into supporting Apple Pay sooner rather than later.
