A press release has just hit the wires announcing that Wind Mobile has added a third roaming partner to expand network coverage across Canada. The press release doesn’t say who that new partner. But that partner allows Wind to cover 99% of the population of Canada:
By adding another domestic roaming partner network, WIND Mobile has taken another leap in improving its service throughout Canada. The new arrangement adds 292,000 square kilometres of coverage within Canada. Collectively WIND Mobile now covers over 1.5 million square kilometres across Canada and reaches 99 per cent of the population.
This agreement with whomever they partnered with may be a bit of a game changer for Wind. My reason for not going with them has been their network coverage, or rather the lack of it. Now that appears to be off the table, I may have to take a second look at them.
