Apple has issued a recall for MacBook and iPad chargers due to a risk of electric shock. While this is specific to owners in Argentina, Brazil, Europe, New Zealand and South Korea, you may want to look at your Apple Kit to make sure that you’re not affected.
The recall covers two-pronged wall plug adapters sold with Macs, 10-watt adapters shipped with iPads between 2003 and 2015, and Apple’s World Travel Adapter Kit. Apple described the affected adapters as having “four or five characters, or no characters, on the inside slot” where they attach to the main Apple power brick.
Additional info can be found at this website including how to get replacement adapters if you are affected.
