Samsung’s problems with the prone to exploding Galaxy Note 7 are mounting in Canada as a class action lawsuit has been filed:
The lawsuit against both the U.S. and Canadian divisions of Samsung was filed in Ontario Superior Court by London, Ont.-based McKenzie Lake Lawyers, LLP.

The claim alleges Samsung was negligent because they knew or should have known that the devices could harm consumers.
The lawsuit alleges that Samsung was negligent because it either knew or should have known that the devices could potentially harm consumers. The lawsuit seeks damages and a declaration that defendants actions were false and emphasizes that they violated the Consumer Protection Act and the Competition Act. My guess is that this will be the first of many such lawsuits filed in Canada. Count on it.
