If you have an iOS device running iOS 10.1.1, you might be experiencing this scenario:
- The battery gets to 30% of a charge. Then suddenly it jumps to 1% and the device shuts down.
- The device reboots and now the device shows 30% again and runs just fine.
If so, you’re not alone. There’s a growing thread on the Apple Discussion Boards where this is being discussed. No fix or mitigation exists at this time, and as usual there is no comment from the folks at 1 Infinite Loop as to what they plan to do about this. But clearly this is a software bug seeing as this affects different iOS devices and the common denominator between them is iOS 10.1.1. This is the latest issue that Apple is apparently dealing with which goes to show that Apple isn’t what it used to be as I remember when they put out products that generally worked and people raved and not ranted about.
