Coming seemingly out of nowhere is the shut down and apparent bankruptcy of Canadian reward app Carrot Rewards. A notice on their website along with these tweets were posted today:
The app allowed users to earn rewards through completing daily step challenges and had backing for a time from several provincial governments. Clearly they could not find additional funding which is unfortunate. They will be missed.
