Uber & CBCC Launch Black Business Direct

This week marks Black Small Business Week and to celebrate the moment, Uber and the Canadian Black Chamber of Commerce (CBCC) have launched Black Business Direct – the newest national digital directory by a national Black led non-profit organization. Black Business Direct is free to join, and free to view, and will be a comprehensive, easy to access resource that Canadians can use to discover and support local Black-owned businesses.

Black Business Direct builds on shared efforts to develop a community-based platform that engages Black-owned business owners. From surveys to regional and crowd-sourced lists, the Black community has always worked to build and sustain a living listing of Black-owned restaurants, retail shops, vendors, and entrepreneurs. Uber announced the partnership last year, spending time engaging with the community to better understand their needs. Now, with Uber Canada’s support, Black Business Direct can continue to grow and support more businesses.
