After all of this nonsense, the Indian Government has had a sudden outbreak of common sense and decided that Blackberries are NOT a security threat:
“There is no threat from Blackberry services,” Telecom Secretary Siddharth Behura told mediapersons here. Asked if the government would give approval to companies that have applied for starting Blackberry services, he said: “There is no permission needed for starting value added services. We have not given permission to anybody, we have not disallowed anybody.”
WTF? Why create all this static if there is no threat? Hopefully, this puts an end to this circus once and for all. But stay tuned to this blog if the story doesn’t end here.
