iPhone Battery Lawsuit Dismissed….. Common Sense Reigns Supreme

Bloomberg is reporting that a lawsuit that was filed over the iPhone’s non-replaceable battery has been dismissed on a summary judgment:

“Apple disclosed on the outside of the iPhone package that the” battery has “`limited recharge cycles and may eventually need to be replaced by Apple service provider,”’  [U.S. District Judge Matthew F.] Kennelly wrote in his Sept. 23 opinion, quoting the packaging. “Under the circumstances, no reasonable jury could find that deception occurred.”

No kidding. That sounds so reasonable.

So, that’s one lest nuisance lawsuit for Apple. Too bad there’s a bunch of other lawsuits that will keep the iLawyers busy for years to come.
