Psystar Slapped With New Charges By Apple

Here’s some news from the Apple/Psystar lawsuit. According to ZDNet, Apple has amended its lawsuit against Psystar with charges of violations of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). Apple alleges that Psystar did that to get the MacOS to work on their open computer. Here’s an example of what I am talking about:

48.  Apple is informed and believes, and on that basis alleges, that Defendant has manufactured, imported, offered to the public, provided or otherwise trafficked a product, device, component, technology, software, or “code” (”the Circumvention Devices”) that are primarily designed or produced for the purpose of either circumventing Apple’s technological protection measures that effectively control access to Copyrighted Works, or allowing third parties to access Apple’s Copyrighted Works without authorization.

Okay. Lets say that they can prove this in court. Psystar is screwed. My advice, this would be a really bad time to buy a Psystar computer. Because if you do, you may not have it for long.
