It looks that while it didn’t appear that the planet went bonkers over the iPhone 3GS, Apple still managed to have a banner weekend anyway. This press release indicates that Apple sold over a million iPhone 3GS models sold along with six million iPhone OS 3.0 downloads. There’s even a quote from Apple God CEO Steve Jobs in the press release:
“Customers are voting and the iPhone is winning,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO. “With over 50,000 applications available from Apple’s revolutionary App Store, iPhone momentum is stronger than ever.”
I think that there’s some guys in Waterloo Canada that may have something to say about that. Or perhaps one of their CEO’s is too busy trying to buy hockey teams to keep his eye on Apple. In any case, this should get his attention.
