Google (Mostly) Dumps Windows…. Get The Chairs Away From Ballmer!
A report has surfaced today from the Financial Times that claims that Google is about to dump Windows for MacOS and LINUX over security concerns:
“We’re not doing any more Windows. It is a security effort,” said one Google employee.
“Many people have been moved away from [Windows] PCs, mostly towards Mac OS, following the China hacking attacks,” said another.
New hires are now given the option of using Apple’s Mac computers or PCs running the Linux operating system. “Linux is open source and we feel good about it,” said one employee. “Microsoft we don’t feel so good about.”
You know this is a big kick in the nether regions for Micr0soft. Why? If Google ditches Microsoft, that’s a big reason for every company with a Windows user base to do the same. Plus that’s a ton of lost revenue for Microsoft as well. You can fully expect Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer to be none to happy about this.

Haven’t seen any chairs flyby yet. I’m sure there will be some soon, though.
