Here’s some news from my “best friends at Rogers.” Rogers Smart Home Monitoring which is their real-time home security, home automation and energy management tool is now available to residents living in Hamilton, Oakville, Burlington, Niagara Falls, St. Catharines and other Golden Horseshoe areas.
Rogers has great “show and tell” posts on RedBoard from 2 bloggers who are reviewing the system for a year: Mara Shapiro and Rebecca Stanisic which show how Smart Home Monitoring offers a truly connected home experience. Overall, the system can remotely monitor everything from water leaks, carbon monoxide levels, cameras, lighting, appliances and thermostat temperatures, and allows customers to customize the automation rules to their needs.
One neat feature is that you can get status updates on your smart phone:

Plus see what’s going on from your smartphone as well:

Rogers will be demoing Smart Home Monitoring at the National Home Show starting this Friday at the Direct Energy Centre in Toronto. Ian Pattison, Vice-President & General Manager of Rogers Smart Home Monitoring will be on-hand from 9 am – 11 am providing demos of our system. They’re also happy to offer guests an exclusive Smart Home Monitoring offer, available for the first time at the Home Show.
If you’re in Toronto and have some time on Friday morning, I’d check it out.
