Telus Uses Twitter To Go On The Attack Against Verizon [UPDATED]

It’s interesting to see how the big three telcos are attempting to win hearts and minds when it comes to keeping Verizon out of the Canadian marketplace. Case in point is Telus. They seem to have taken to Twitter to get their points across. Here’s a few examples:

This seems to have started within the last day or so. I also note that a quick check of the Twitter feeds of the other two members of the big 3 don’t show this sort of activity. Now I’ve given Telus credit for using Twitter in innovative ways in the past. So I am assuming that this is just an extension of this. I’ll be watching for three things going forward. One, to see if Telus ratchets this up to try and press their point. Second, what will the other two of the big three do to add their voices to the discussion. Finally, if any of this actually works with the government.

This should be fun to watch.

UPDATE: I found out that someone who has links to Telus reposted this story on her Twitter feed:

I thank her for the extra traffic. But she clearly doesn’t know which side of the argument I’m on. I’m guessing that if she did, she might not have reposted this story.
