Rogers Announces Carrier Billing For Google Play

Rogers has scored a Canadian first by beginning to roll out carrier billing to the Google Play store to a select amount of Rogers customers. Customers will be able to access this as an alternative payment option when making a payment in Google Play. Rogers customers will get first access to purchase any of
Google’s one million apps and additional offerings and bill these charges with ease directly to their Rogers account. Using a secure one-click payment system charges from the Google Play store will appear on the customer’s monthly Rogers bill without the need to enter credit card details. Carrier billing is already available for Rogers customers with the BlackBerry App World and Microsoft’s Windows Phone Store.

Rogers expects this service to be available to all customers in the coming weeks.

    Hello i have a question
I noticed everyone has carrier billing in all phones except the apple phones
Im a rogers customer and i have a 5S is it ever going to be possible to do this with apple phones !

    • I suspect that this will not happen anytime soon as I do not see Apple wanting to share this revenue with the carriers.
