A Canadian mapping fail wasn’t the only glitch for those who wanted to pre-order a iPhone 6 or 6 Plus today. Let’s start with Apple themselves, they’ve had challenges with their Apple Store App experiencing issues at times, giving users errors and listing all iPhone 6 Plus models as unavailable at times. Several U.S. carriers including AT&T and Verizon have also been experiencing problems with pre-orders, with both of their respective sites crashing for many users.
Canadians are not immune to this as well. Telus had issues with their site that they had to resolve:
Rogers wasn’t immune either. They had challenges that this tweet would suggest have been resolved:
However all is not quite rosy due to the demand:
Bell has had their challenges too:
None of this is a shock as iPhone launches tend to stretch a carrier’s ability to deal with the insane demand.
