Telus Rolls Out The Samsung Gear S

Telus just dropped me a note to say that they’ve got the Samsung Gear S in their smartwatch lineup.

The Gear S brings a new smartwatch experience for wearable tech enthusiasts as the first connected (SIM-enabled) smartwatch available at TELUS.  With Gear S, you can communicate seamlessly with 3G, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, providing the freedom of a smart mobile experience without a smartphone in hand.

Customers looking to use the Gear S to its full potential through connected features with its 3G antenna can purchase a separate SIM card ($10) and share data with their existing Telus Your Choice or SharePlus plan starting at $5. To add voice calling right to your wrist, a $10 voice add-on option is available as well. Alternatively, the device can simply be paired to your Samsung smartphone though Bluetooth.

Take a look at the great features the Gear S can pack on your wrist:

  • Real Hands-Free Connectivity: Communicate seamlessly with 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. The Samsung Gear S allows you to make and receive calls and messages even when away from your phone.
  • Curved Super AMOLED: 2.0” Curved Super AMOLED made to look great while fitting comfortably on your wrist.
  • Ready to Perform: Running a dual core 1.0GHz processor and 512MB of RAM, the Gear S is ready to perform beyond standard smartwatch functionality.
  • Rich Notifications: Know exactly who’s trying to get in touch with detailed call and SMS notifications.

Starting today, the Samsung Gear S will be available at Telus for $399.
