New MacBook Owners Have RAM Issues…. As If Graphic Issues Wern’t Enough

Apple seems to be having a rough time with their new MacBook and MacBook Pro notebooks. First there were the graphic chipset issues that I’ve posted about in the past, now there’s apparently a RAM issue. Loading 4GB of RAM (either from Apple or a third party) can cause MacBooks and MacBook Pros to freeze up randomly. The fix is to have only 2GB or 3GB of RAM installed. jkOnTheRun has confirmed that the issue exists and the workaround as well as a possible fix that’s in the pipeline.

I’d be interested in hearing from anyone who has this issue and what they might have heard in terms of a fix from Apple. In the meantime, I’ll be avoiding these computers for the time being until the bugs are ironed out.
