The Rainbow Six Siege North American League Canada Division is well underway and approaching it’s 5^th playday! By now, it’s no surprise that Mirage Esports have made a name for themselves in the Canada Division and are currently leading the league with a 2-0 win/loss record.

Now it’s time to look outwards at our competition south of the border. Tomorrow, July 25 at 2PM EST, Mirage Esports will face off against their U.S. counterparts Dark Zero Esports. This is the first time in competitive Rainbow Six Siege Esports that a Canadian team faces off against a U.S. team.

It’s time to show that homegrown pride Canadians are so well known for and cheer on Mirage Esports as they attempt to make history in what could possibly be the most important match-up they have faced yet!

Today, Ubisoft announced Ubisoft Collegiate Esports, their first ever proprietary collegiate esports league, premiering with Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six^® Siege, that will kick off in July 2020. The new league will launch in partnership with FACEIT, the world’s leading platform for competitive online gaming, who will operate the program as part of the new North American ecosystem. CORSAIR will serve as the premiere sponsor of the league. Additional sponsors include Origin PC, a subsidiary of CORSAIR.

The program will feature a user-friendly online platform allowing registered school clubs (no online schools) to register themselves and begin competing in a variety of local and cross-continent programs.

Clubs must consist of registered, full-time students and will be able to:

• Host intramural matches
• Host viewing parties and live events
• Manage club members and their teams
• Manage matches and results
• Request prizing 

In addition to the online platform, schools will be eligible to nominate one team (per school) to participate in the Rainbow Six Collegiate championship – our premier league for Rainbow Six. All contending schools will face off for a chance to earn a $30K prize pool and additional hardware prizes, including a cutting-edge Origin PC and CORSAIR peripherals. The pre-season will begin in October 2020, while the full season will begin in January 2021.

Ubisoft is taking exceptional pride in being able to offer unique esports programs to players of all skill levels. The collegiate program is our chance to get involved with the college community and build a program that focuses on professionalism, fair play, and community growth.

I wanted to share with you the latest details regarding play dates, registered teams, talents and prize pools and everything else as we come closer to the kickoff of the brand new Rainbow Six Siege North American League!

The inaugural season kicks off June 22^nd and everything you need to know about getting involved in the action and which teams to follow is all listed out on Ubisoft.com in a recent blog post.

Ubisoft’s new North American League launch for Rainbow Six Esports is just around the corner. This week is the last chance for Canadian teams to sign up for the competition of a lifetime. As a first of its kind for Canadian Esports, there’s no better opportunity to enter the frontline of competitive gaming in Canada!

Teams are able to register until May 29^th. Open Qualifier matches will begin on May 30^th, then the top 16 teams from the Open Qualifiers will earn their place in the Closed Qualifier on May 31.

The top four placing teams after the Closed Qualifiers will form the official NA League: Canada Division beginning in June 2020. For more information on how to register your team, dates and times of the qualifiers and game mode, please check out FaceIt.

Today Ubisoft^® announced details around the new North American League for Rainbow Six^® Esports scheduled to debut in late June 2020. The Rainbow Six North American League will feature two regional Divisions – the United States and Canada – as well as a revamped path-to-pro tier designed to foster the best up-and-coming teams in both territories. The US Division will feature eight pro team organizations competing in an offline league based in Las Vegas, Nevada. 

For the first time in Rainbow Six Esports history, Canada will join the global competition with its own Canada Division, a league consisting of four teams competing online in lockstep with the US Division tournament schedule. To promote a robust semi-pro ecosystem for all aspirational players, Rainbow Six Esports North America will also include the Challenger League, an accessible online league consisting of eight teams per region, playing for a chance to break into the pro tier each season. 

The introduction of the US Division and Canada Division, alongside updates to the Challenger League in North America, as part of the new regionalized ecosystem, represents the biggest evolution for the competitive Rainbow Six Esports landscape in its four-year history. All three programs make-up a competitive ecosystem that is focused on the long-term health and stability of Rainbow Six Esports in the region. Additional key partnerships for the next chapter of North American Rainbow Six Esports include Acer Predator, and Corsair.

Given current health and safety concerns for our players and employees as well as following guidelines from the state of Nevada, the US Division launch date, competition for Stage 1 of the 2020 Season will take place online. As soon as the situation permits, we will assess any available opportunity to continue our offline Las Vegas program.
