Fisker Inc. today announced it has nominated Sharp Corporation, part of the Hon Hai Technology Group, to develop technologies supporting next generation in-vehicle screens and interfaces. The agreement would include the co-creation of technologies and the subsequent manufacture of screens and components from Sharp to support the Ocean SUV, Project’ PEAR’ (Personal Electric Automotive Revolution), and potentially two additional Fisker vehicles.
Fisker and Sharp will work to optimize the global production strategy for all screens and related products. Aligned with each company’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategies and, in the function of planned global growth for Fisker’s manufacturing, the sourcing strategy will seek to balance cost, total environmental impact, and logistics.
Fisker intends to start production and deliveries on its first vehicle, the Ocean electric SUV, in Q4 2022 and unveil a production-intent prototype at the Los Angeles Auto Show® later this year. On May 13, Fisker and Foxconn announced the signing of framework agreements for Project PEAR, a breakthrough new segment vehicle to be jointly developed by both companies and sold under the Fisker brand into global markets including North America, Europe, China, and India. Project PEAR will be the company’s second model, with US production slated for Q4 2023.
Fisker Selects ServiceNow Solutions To Accelerate Vehicle Development

The agreement includes Fisker’s purchase of ServiceNow’s IT Service Management (ITSM) Pro and Software Asset Management (SAM) solutions to deliver seamless experiences for Fisker’s employees.
ServiceNow’s digital workflows will help Fisker create frictionless experiences that make it easy for employees to get work done, enabling them to spend less time on non-critical tasks and more time on building a reimagined EV experience. Fisker will deploy ServiceNow’s ITSM Pro solution to deliver scalable services, increase productivity and create resilient IT service experiences for its employees. The company will also use ServiceNow’s SAM solution to optimize IT productivity, cost and resilience – enabling employees to work faster and smarter. Together, these solutions will help Fisker create a beautiful employee experience now – and great customer experiences in the future.
Fisker is projected to start production and deliveries on its first vehicle, the Ocean electric SUV, from November 17, 2022. The Fisker Ocean will initially be manufactured in Europe and sold across multiple markets in Europe and North America. Interest in the vehicle continues to build at an encouraging pace, with global paid reservations now standing at more than 16,000.
