If you’re in Toronto this weekend you might want to check out the TAVES Consumer Electronics Event which is being held at the Sheraton Hotel in downtown Toronto. TAVES is the ultimate event for Canadians passionate about technology, showcasing the latest innovations and giving consumers unprecedented access to product prototypes shown only online… until now. From the latest 4K TV sets to holographic displays and virtual reality devices, this show has all the gadgets Canadians have been dreaming about!
TAVES will feature hundreds of groundbreaking technology products and prototypes such as holographic displays, Oculus Rift, 3D printers, mind control devices, Google Glass, Tesla cars and more – many funded by Kickstarter and Indigogo crowd-funding campaigns.

This world-class exposition is set to feature nearly 100 companies from around the globe and showcase cutting edge technology and innovation spanning a broad range of categories. Exhibits will highlight the latest in robotics, wearables, smart devices, video gaming hardware & software, home & personal HiFi, home theatre, 3D printing, digital imaging products, as well as electronic gadgets.
In addition to all these categories, an “Outdoor Electronics Playground” will offer show goers a sneak peak at the newest electric vehicles, automotive & charging technology, e-bikes, drones and remote control toys. Rounding out the show features will be exhibits catered to kids, robotics workshops and coder education for kids, technology seminars, a video gaming discussion panel, a Halloween-theme cosplay element, and even a tech-inspired art gallery.
Hosted at the Sheraton Parkway Toronto North Hotel & Suites in Richmond Hill, an area commonly referred to as “Canada’s High Tech Capital”, the show is easily accessible by public transit from Toronto and offers free parking to those who prefer to drive. The show runs from Friday, October 30 to Sunday, November 1, with special show features on Saturday. I’ll be attending the show and I’ll provide a full report for you. Watch for it!
