And The Winner Of TikTok Gamers Greatest Talent Is… Philip Bowen From Virginia!

TikTok is excited to share that the winner of TikTok Gamers Greatest Talent is Philip Bowen! Philip Bowen is a multi-talented singer-songwriter/fiddler specializing in guitar and fiddle from West Virginia, currently based in Detroit.

In April, TikTok partnered with Enthusiast Gaming and e.l.f. Cosmetics to launch Gamers Greatest Talent, a first-of-its-kind search for the TikTok gaming community’s hidden talents. The seven-episode live series followed 36 contestants across North America as they show off their talents and compete in front of fans and an incredible rotating panel of celebrity judges from the gaming and TikTok world – including mxmtoon, nickeh30, anomaly, and Tori Pareno. Beware! A New Email Scam Involving CIBC And Norton LifeLock Is Making The Rounds

You need to keep your eye out for a new scam involving CIBC which is one of Canada’s biggest banks. It will show up in your email and look like this:

But if you look at the email address, this is a scam:

In the interest of science, I decided to click the link to see what happens:

It appears to try to redirect you via what looks like a Norton LifeLock site to what looks like a CIBC website. But it isn’t. If you look at the top left hand corner you see that it doesn’t come from Norton LifeLock. And I am pretty sure that I am not going to end up at a CIBC website (click to enlarge).

Sure enough, I am not at a CIBC website. Look at the URL that I have circled. That’s not CIBC as it ends in “ug”.

So what is the scam? It’s trying to get your online banking credentials so that cybercriminals can steal the money in your bank accounts. And it is using Norton LifeLock to gain your confidence. Someone went through a lot of trouble to set this up. Which means that you need to be really on your toes to avoid scams like this. And it’s a safe bet that similar scams involving other Canadian banks exist. So keep your eyes out for them and delete any emails that you get that look like the ones above.

Microsoft Pretty Much Confirms That Windows 11 Is Real Via A DMCA Complaint Against Google

If you were wondering if the leaked screenshots and ISOs of Windows 11 that appeared last week were real, they are. Here’s why I can say that. Microsoft issued an official Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) complaint against Google over an article by Beebom.com, based out of India. The DMCA complaint is viewable online and says this:

Beebom.com’s article is distributing Windows 11 ISO (copyrighted to Microsoft). Please remove their article from the search. It is a leaked copy of the unreleased Windows 11.

Well. If that’s not confirmation. I don’t know what is. So if you somehow got your hands on this ISO to try out, you have the real deal. Well, at least you have a incomplete preview of Microsoft’s next OS which you shouldn’t run on any computer that you actually need.
