Linktree Launches New Mobile App

Posted in Commentary with tags on July 12, 2022 by itnerd

Linktree – the ‘link in bio’ category leader – is today announcing the launch of its new mobile app on iOS and Android so users can spend less time creating and managing their Linktree, and spend more time doing what they do best. The launch of the new mobile app is Linktree’s next milestone move during a summer of transformation, as the platform advances beyond the ‘link-in-bio’ category it created.

With the majority of user sign-ups and logins from Linktree’s 25m+ users happening from a mobile device, Linktree recognized the strong signals in user behaviour pointing towards the demand for a mobile app. The app is an organic next step for the business, by bringing Linktree to where users spend the most of their time and where the communities live, with the new mobile-first user experience. The mobile app will empower users to update their links in fewer clicks, closing the distance between creating and getting seen.

Acting as a gateway to unlocking Linktree’s power to connect the many facets of an individual’s digital universe, the app will serve as a home where creators can truly link to everything they are. The app was designed to reduce the time users spend updating their corner of the internet and instead spend more time creating content. Whether this is updating their Linktree theme to match their current mood or tapping into the powerful analytics page to optimize channels and content which is converting sales and payments – all of Linktree is now that much more accessible.

Users can download the Linktree app to:

  • Share: The app’s features allow for quick and easy content sharing capabilities for users on the move, from embedding a new Spotify song to their Linktree to revealing new and exclusive YouTube content.
  • Monetize: Users can now harness Linktree’s power to refer traffic and drive engagement to monetize their passion by selling products and services, collecting tips and donations, leads, and more.
  • Grow: Creators can grow their following by connecting all their social accounts in one place, so their fans on one platform can discover them on others and subscribe to their mailing lists.
  • Customize: Linktree creators can design their Linktree on the go with themes, custom backgrounds, button styles, fonts, colors, and more to suit the user’s brand and style.
  • Analyze: Having access to traffic and conversion metrics, creators are able to track spikes in link clicks and learn about their audience. Users are able to visit the Lifetime Analytics page to understand what is working, which channels and content are converting, track sales and payments as well as amplify the success of their Linktree altogether.

The launch of the Linktree mobile app comes on the heels of Linktree’s recent announcements including the Linktree Marketplace, NFT Gallery, and a company rebrand as the platform reimagines itself in a way that is pushing the entire category forward as a tool for self-expression, discovery, connection and community beyond ‘link in bio.’

As one of the top 300 most popular website destinations globally, with over 1.2 billion monthly views, Linktree continues to prioritize the needs of creators, consumers and brands.

In Canada, Linktree has more than 642,000 users and 373M visits in the last year. Over the last 12 months, there has been a 74.9 per cent increase in engagement and 65 per cent increase in visitor traffic. For your context, that places Canada fifth highest in traffic in Linktree’s markets, where it’s been for two years straight.  Some of the platform’s users in Canada include Toronto Raptors, Shawn Mendes, Neil Young, Matty Matheson and KallMeKris. Ottawa-based photographer and Nikon Ambassador Michelle Valberg. who was most recently appointed Member of the Order of Canada is also a Linktree user.

Linktree Marketplace Launches As The New One-Stop Directory For Partner Link Apps And Integrations

Linktree – the link-in-bio category creator — is today announcing the launch of the Linktree Marketplace, the new one-stop directory for partner Link Apps and integrations. Marketplace is designed to enhance the user experience by driving exposure to Linktree’s extensive partnership network to users and visitors with the breadth of digital experiences and services in a singular destination. Linktree’s Link Apps and beta integration partners at launch include Audiomack, Bandsintown, Cameo, Community, Gleam, GoFundMe, OpenSea, PayPal, Venmo, Reddit, SoundCloud, Spring, Square, Typeform and more.

As the digital landscape becomes increasingly more complex to navigate, Linktree recognizes that connecting users to a robust partnership and integration network is key to their success. For users, the new partner directory can be found in the Explore Menu in-product, and externally on the Linktree website, with more than 30 Link Apps and integrations with third-parties accessible in one place. Marketplace provides a mutually beneficial model with visitors to Linktree now able to watch, listen, shop and more in one-place. The Marketplace in turn provides the return of views, streams, donations, bookings, purchases and more for creators. With existing partners across commerce, social media, gaming, music and finance, the launch of Marketplace also comes with the addition of four new Linktree partners, including Cameo, Gleam, Typeform and Reddit.

Creators and businesses online use a growing number of platforms, leading to increasing fragmentation of creators’ online identity, audiences, content and traffic. This is signalled strongly by creator behaviours, with Linktree reporting its creators link out to an average of nine different platforms. Link Apps help unify a creator’s digital presence and enable them to share anything from anywhere, all in one place, leading to greater discovery and engagement with their entire offering.

The Linktree Marketplace is Linktree’s first step in opening up their platform to developers: Linktree has been privately refining their developer tools in collaboration with premier beta partners and is preparing to invite more developers to build their own Link Apps and integrations to reach and serve Linktree’s 25M+ creators who together receive more than 1 billion visits a month. Interested developers can submit their interest within the Linktree Marketplace.

Following Linktree’s recent $110M USD raise, the business has focused on introducing new revenue streams and creating additional value for creators and brands, including the launch of the new Web3 NFT platform features in partnership with Opensea and music & entertainment focused integrations with Audiomack, Community, BandsInTown, and Soundcloud.

The platform also recently unveiled a design rebrand; further signifying the brand’s ambition of empowering creators across the globe to tell their stories better by creating a platform that encompasses many facets of an individual’s digital universe — a home where creators can truly link to everything they are.

As one of the top 300 most popular website destinations globally, with over 1.2 billion monthly views, Linktree continues to prioritise the needs of creators, consumers and brands.

Linktree Transforms Its Brand To Evolve Beyond The ‘Link In Bio’ Category It Created

Posted in Commentary with tags on June 6, 2022 by itnerd

Linktree, the ‘link in bio’ category leader, is today announcing its new brand vision to cement the ownership of the link-in-bio category it originated and its position as the leading innovator in its progression. This announcement marks Linktree’s evolution from being seen as just a ‘link in bio’ tool to being a brand that encourages self-expression, discovery, connection and community. The new brand identity speaks to Linktree’s ambition of empowering 25m unique users across the globe to tell their stories better by celebrating the many facets of any one person’s digital universe – a platform where anyone can truly link, and transport visitors, to everything they are.

Designed in partnership with COLLINS – the independent strategy and design company responsible for the branding of Twitch, Spotify and Robinhood – the work includes a new visual identity system and brand language that puts creators at the forefront. There are four major components to the new brand including:

  • The animated silhouette treatment implies a window into the user’s digital universe – bringing creators to life by inviting an opportunity to explore the depths of the links further.
  • Linktree’s new custom typeface – Link Sans, a global-first typeface was designed to allow for optimal accessibility across languages, existing alongside other scripts with minimal interference, again prioritizing connectivity.
  • Linktree’s new colour palette is vibrant, expressive and is grounded by Linktree’s quintessential Canopy green.
  • Linktree’s new logo leverages the metaphor of a sheltering tree – providing stability and nourishment to its users so that they can set new goals, harness their power and grow what matters most.

With a maximalist visual language and colour palette, the new brand expression prioritizes global accessibility and deepening connection – something which is critical with 1.2bn monthly views of Linktrees worldwide.

The transformation follows the culmination of years of work in providing an unparalleled product offering for creators, as Linktree looks to create a space within its brand which is re-imagining the link-in-bio category. Following Linktree’s recent $110m USD raise, the business has focused on introducing new revenue streams and creating additional value for creators and brands, including the launch of the new Web3 platform features.

Linkree’s new brand champions the business transition from a ‘link-in-bio’ tool to a platform which fuels engagement and community across the digital universe. With a whole suite of new tools and features set to be released to the market over the coming months, Linktree’s brand transformation embodies new capabilities for anyone to ‘link everything they are’.
