Safe Software to Increase Global Headcount by Over 15% as Demand for AI-Ready Data Grows

Safe Software today announced it is recruiting for more than 60 roles throughout the remainder of 2026. The hiring will take the company past 400 employees, increasing headcount by over 15%, with new positions across the United Kingdom, the United States and Canada.

The expansion follows a year in which Safe crossed $100 million in annual revenue, growing close to 20 percent year over year and moving ahead of schedule on its target of $250 million by 2028. The company also grew its employee base by over 20% in the same period.

Aligned with the company’s growing revenue trajectory and market expansion, two thirds of the planned roles are revenue-facing across all three markets, spanning sales leadership, revenue operations, enablement, marketing, and customer support. Safe is also growing its product, engineering, and operational teams with open roles in AI enablement, test engineering, DevOps, design, HR, and employee experience.

Safe was named one of BC’s Top Employers for 2026 and one of Canada’s Top Small and Medium Employers for 2026. The company has been a certified B Corporation since August 2024, and has placed more than 400 co-op students since 2010, a third of whom went on to join full time.

Safe Software Opens Registration for the Peak of Data and AI 2027 With More Accessible Access Packages

Safe Software has announced that registration is open for the Peak of Data and AI 2027, its global conference for data and AI professionals, taking place March 9 to 11, 2027 at the QEII Centre in London, UK.

The news builds on Safe’s announcement in March 2026 that London would host the biennial conference, which has previously been held in Vancouver, Canada, Bonn, Germany and Seattle, Washington, and draws attendees from North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and beyond.

Alongside opening registration, Safe has introduced a revised set of access packages designed to bring a broader range of professionals to the event:

  • Free passes for public sector and government professionals, from any country
  • One-day passes, for attendees who are unable to join for all three days
  • Lower pricing across every pass type, including the pre-conference training add-on

All attendees will also have access to a free AI training session on the first evening of the conference, regardless of which pass type they hold.

The three-day program will feature more than 100 breakout sessions led by FME users, keynote plenary sessions, product announcements, and FME Basecamp, the conference’s hub for hands-on technical support and networking. A Partner Summit for certified partners precedes the main event on March 8, 2027. The Call for Presentations is open until September 29, 2026.

Safe Software Appoints Nabil Lodey as Its First EMEA Senior Executive

Safe Software today announced the appointment of Nabil Lodey as VP EMEA, where he will drive growth in the company’s presence and customer base across the region. His appointment builds directly on Safe’s operational expansion into the UK and Ireland, announced in June 2025.

Nabil joins Safe from 1Spatial, a long-standing Safe partner and FME reseller, where he served as Managing Director for the UK and Ireland. He brings a deep, first-hand understanding of Safe’s business and of the FME Platform, having worked closely with the technology and its customer base. That familiarity positions him to further accelerate Safe’s regional expansion plan while deepening the company’s commitment to support clients and partners across Europe through local expertise and presence.

An experienced technology leader, Nabil brings more than a decade of experience building and scaling data and geospatial software businesses. He has held chief executive and senior leadership roles across the sector, with a consistent track record of driving rapid growth, building high-performing teams, and delivering strong commercial outcomes. He began his career in the Royal Navy, holds a degree in Economics from Queen Mary, University of London, and is a Sloan Fellow of London Business School.

Nabil joins a strengthened leadership team that has recently welcomed Judd Lee as Chief Financial Officer and Vanessa Ribreau as Chief People Officer. FME by Safe Software Now Runs Inside Snowflake, Delivering Faster, Safer, In-Database Data Integration

Safe Software today announced the availability of Safe Software’s FME Remote Engines Service on Snowflake Marketplace. Snowflake users now have the ability to run FME’s high-performance engine directly within Snowpark Container Services. This new deployment model results in faster, more secure data integration and transformation, reducing processing time by up to 30%.

Since 2019, Safe Software has collaborated with Snowflake to streamline migrations to Snowflake and connect to the many systems that they run on. By making Safe Software’s FME Remote Engines Service available on Snowflake Marketplace, the engine can now run inside customers’ Snowflake environments for increased performance and security.

This native integration means that users can now have the option to move FME data processing workflows that connect Snowflake from running outside Snowflake to running inside. The FME data ecosystem includes 1,000’s of systems, including but not limited to formats such as LiDAR point clouds (LAS/LAZ), cloud-optimized GeoTIFFs (COG), scientific datasets like NetCDF and HDF5, and complex BIM/CAD designs including Revit and IFC files and much more. Safe Software Ahead of Target to Reach $250M in Revenue by 2028

 Safe Software today announced strong business momentum and continued progress toward its goal of reaching $250M in revenue by 2028. Building on another year of record performance, Safe Software is ahead of its target, surpassing $100M in annual revenue in FY25, representing nearly 20% year-over-year growth.

The company’s employee base increased by 21.8% over the fiscal year, reflecting strategic investments in its people, culture, and innovation to meet global demand.

Internally, the growing Safe Software team has embraced AI, with over 600 active custom GPTs at the company, and over 40,000 messages per month sent to its enterprise GPT. Additionally, the company’s AI Champions Program has resulted in 20 internal demos posted for staff this quarter, covering a wide range of processes and tooling.

During the same period, Safe Software successfully expanded its international footprint with new operations in the UK and Ireland laying foundations for its next period of sustainable growth.

The business also introduced major product updates that further strengthened FME’s ability to connect and automate data across every system, including FME Realize and new Data Virtualization capabilities.
